This is a great pattern for us to use.
First, we need to think about what we are praying for. If we are praying as a family it helps to first talk about who needs our prayers. It gives the children an opportunity to recognize a need and pray for it.
Next, kneeling down is not always necessary, but teach them how kneeling is a sign of reverence.
Lastly, When we pray we need to remember that God wants to help us. The answer is not always YES but we need to pray with FAITH that God loves us and will do whats best for us.

When Seth leaves in the morning Braden runs to the window and puts his finger up to it and waits for seth to come down the stairs and and connect with his finger.
know how much of a hurry Seth is to get to class in the morning, but he never acts like it. He takes the time to spend these few minutes together with Braden. Braden loves it. He often comes running from across the house to get to the window when he hears the door close behind Seth:) It makes me smile every time.

Depends on You and Me!

We have too good a thing,
To let it go!
There's NO country like ours,
That we know!
We've just got to keep
Our country free!
Nobody knows what freedom means
To YOU and ME!
Don't stand idly by then,
There's so many things to do!
What a prized constitution,
Our Founding Fathers knew!
There's nothing like the present,
We must get out and vote!
Become aware of issues,
For others take a note!
Money doesn't grow on trees,
And freedom isn't free!
The future of our country,
Depends on YOU and ME!
Some say redistribute wealth,
And give it to the poor.
Russia tried and watched their freedom,
Go right out the door.
Abortion is a murderous sin,
Some folks still approve!
Why kill a baby, just so your life,
Will be more smooth?
Marriage is only natural,
Between a woman and a man!
So, why distort our way of life,
Just because you can?
Freedom at the airport,
Has been taken to extreme!
Our security is important,
But balance can't be seen!
Presidential use of power,
Isn't going away;
Especially when they misuse the system,
Just to get their way!
Lavish bail out spending,
And putting the rest in hiding,
Plunges the nation into massive debt,
Our children's future binding.
To get an extra vote,
We'll watch our nations sovereignty,
Go up in smoke!
Appointing highly paid Czars,
Without congressional approval,
WE MUST STAND UP AND FIGHT!
While wars rage,
Is a ticket to disaster,
In any age!
Our Health Care is the best,
In any nation.
But can be ruined,
By sloppy legislation!
We could keep the list going,
Of all the freedom losses!
But let's get to work, fast, and pray,
And become our own bosses!
Let's run the race,
And win the prize!
Protecting our free institutions,
Is most wise!
We are a Christian nation,
No matter what some say,
And we will have HIS blessings,
If we keep the Sabbath Day!!

You take bagel crisps cut a cherry tomato in half and place on top and put mozzarella cheese on them. Thats it. I love them!!!!
If you are vegan or cutting back on dairy product put hummus on it instead of cheese. In the picture there is one with a little basil leaf and that is the one we put hummus on. It was also fantastic.

I am not in the best shape by any stretch of the imagination. Yet after having a 21 month old and a 5 month I feel like Im in the best shape of my life. WHY? Because of the way I eat.
If you want to tone your legs, run.
If you want to tone your arms, lift.
If you want to loose your stomach, eat right.
Lately I have been sharing with some of my friends a few things I do, so I thought I would share with you all...
For starters PRAYER is a key component for mastering anything. I pray often to know how to keep myself and my family healthy. I often receive thoughts and ideas that I know are answers to my prayer.
For breakfast EVERY morning (unless I run out ) My husband and I eat what I call my Power Breakfast.( posted here). It is full of seeds and good things. My personal opinion is seeds are very beneficial to our health and most people do not get enough. It also has a great protein base since it is made with Quinoa.
A few hours later I have a green drink. This includes LOTS of spinach (another powerful food) and usually oatmeal and fruit. (I use to put protein in it but I am trying to have my protein come more from plants and grains:)
So that starts my day out right. Neither meal is sugar filled or carb heavy so I don't crash as easily.
For when I am out and about and feeling like my blood sugar is going down (you know the feeling when you get super tired) I carry cliff bars around with me.
For lunch and dinner I have no system I just try and make good decisions. I personally try and avoid lots of Wheat because I have an allergy to it but that does not mean I avoid carbs. Actually the opposite. I love grains. They are super good for you. I like to combine my grains and make "super foods" out of everything:)
